This policy explains the information that may be processed when using TarotAstro. The public service has no user registration, personal accounts or forms collecting user email addresses.
1. Information we do not request
You do not need to provide a real name, email address, phone number, password or user account to use the public tarot and astrology tools.
2. Birth-chart data and local storage
Birth-chart inputs such as an optional label, date, time, place, coordinates and time zone are primarily processed on the user's device. Saved charts are stored in the browser's localStorage and are not synchronized to a TarotAstro account or stored as a server-side chart library.
When a saved chart is used in a tarot reading, the server receives only the context needed for the requested reading, such as the selected sign and, when available, derived Sun, Moon and Ascendant signs. The saved label, full birth date, birth time and coordinates are not sent to the tarot-reading endpoint.
3. Place search
The place search calls Open-Meteo's geocoding service directly from the browser to obtain coordinates and a time zone. The query entered by the user is therefore sent to that provider.
4. Technical logs
Hosting, web servers, proxies or security infrastructure may create standard technical logs needed to deliver and protect the service, including IP address, date and time, requested URL and browser/User-Agent information.
5. Analytics, advertising and third parties
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) may be used when this integration is enabled in the site's technical configuration. GA4 may receive usage data and technical signals from a visit, such as pages viewed, browser/device information, IP address and other identifiers or technologies applied by Google to its measurement service.
Google AdSense may also be used to display advertising. When enabled, Google and its providers may process cookies, local storage, IP addresses, identifiers and other technical signals according to the advertising configuration, applicable consent requirements and their own policies.
6. Retention and user control
Saved charts remain in local storage until the user deletes them or clears site data. There is no user account to close and no email database to unsubscribe from. Server or provider logs are retained only as needed for operations, security, abuse prevention or legal obligations.
7. Rights
Where data-protection law applies, rights may be exercised regarding personal data actually controlled by the operator using the contact details above. Local-only chart data can be removed directly from the device or browser.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated if features, providers, advertising or legal requirements change.
